Luxurious Winter Wonderland Tablescape
Wouldn’t you love to be invited to Christmas dinner and this is the tablescape set for you? I sure would! There is one word for this tablescape: Luxurious!
I wish I could take credit for this beautiful tablescape, but it is the handiwork of Gracious Girl Twyla Twillie. I walked into her home and was taken aback by this fabulous display of creativity and restrained taste. This is one impressive table. I just had to share it with the Gracious Girl Community!
This tablescape combines bold color with the refinement, striking a balance that is hard to re-create. From the bold and unusual centerpiece, to the petite red bows at the place setting, your eye dances from one element to another, each element as breathtaking as the next.
The centerpiece is a feminine take on the Christmas tree. A dress form, completed with a Christmas tree skirt. I love these! The silver skirt on the tree skirt complements the silver edging of the plates. The unique tree is a perfect focal point for this stunning table.
The silver and ivory theme is further carried out in the dinnerware. I love how the silver seems to dance around the edge of the plates. This playful design adds to the fluidity of this tablescape. Want to buy it? The china pattern is Harmony House “Starlight” with Normandy Silver Queen” cups.
The custom tablecloth, with it’s plush design, pulls it all together. And the fringe – oh the fringe – is the ultimate statement of luxury for this tablescape. ( I wish you could see it in the pics, but trust me it’s fab!) You won’t find this tablescape in any store; Twyla made this tablecloth just for this tablescape. Now that’s what I call a commitment to a complete look.
It’s the pop of color that really makes this tablescape stand out. The bold red stemware makes a big statement on this tablescape, almost inviting you to merriment. The bold red is replicated in the tiny red bows adorning the placecard. This use of color could not have been more perfect.
This tablescape could take you right into your new year’s celebration: just change out the red elements for gold or silver ones and you are set!
Twyla Twillie, you have set a fabulous table. This tablescape rivals any tablescape designed by a professional. Thank you for allowing me to share it with other Gracious Girls.
