Manifest Your Destiny
Turn Your Dreams Into Goals And Your Goals into Reality.
Each year, many of us make resolutions to do better and be better in the new year. Do you review them periodically to see how well you have done? Do you find that many of your resolutions go unfulfilled?
IF YOU DON’T HAVE BIG DREAMS AND GOALS, YOU’LL END UP WORKING REALLY HARD FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES.
Dreams + Goals + Action = Reality
Let’s make this year’s resolutions stick by changing your dreams into goals and your goals into reality! Although dreams are inspiring, sometimes that is where they begin and end; simply as inspiration. Without action, dreams die. Goals are dreams plus action.
Let’s get you moving toward reaching your dreams and realizing your goals.
DREAMS DON’T WORK UNLESS YOU DO.
1. Make it a point to do something toward your goal every. single. day.
What you do with your time reflects your goals. Want to be an entrepreneur but haven’t written your business plan? Hate your job and want a new one? Until you do something – anything – nothing will change. Set aside some time every day TO DO SOMETHING that gets you closer to your objective. Yes, I know you have a job, kids and responsibilities that keep you busy, but take some time, even if it is just 10 minutes a day, to make a list, do some research, or make a phone call that gets you closer. It’s not how much you do, but how consistently you do it. Make it a habit.
A GOAL IS JUST A DREAM, WITHOUT A PLAN.
2. Develop a strategy for reaching your goal and write it down.
Remember that business plan from the previous paragraph? Basically a business plan forces you to do some research and develop a strategy for reaching a goal. Even if your goal isn’t to open a business, researching and writing down your plan is always a good step towards reaching a goal. Writing helps you to focus and to be specific in identifying the steps you will need to take. So grab your pencil or keyboard and get to it!
GOALS ARE DREAMS WITH A DEADLINE.
3. Set some deadlines.
Goals have deadlines, dreams don’t. It’s so easy to put off working on your goal when life gets in the way. One way to make sure you stay on track and reach your goal is to set a deadline; in fact you may need to set several deadlines. Some dreams are so big that simply setting the end goal is too evasive. You many need to set incremental deadlines to help you to feel accomplished while moving forward. Deadlines push you to work hard, then give you a sense of accomplishment when you do. Who doesn’t want to feel accomplished?
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
4. Don’t let others project their fears onto you.
This is your dream. You can make it a reality. Sometimes fear is a motivator, but sometimes it is a crippler. Fear is healthy; it helps to keep us from getting hurt, but it can also scare us into inaction. Don’t let fear, yours or anyone else’s, stop you from reaching your goal. Use fear as a motivator to encourage you to research and develop a detailed action plan. Whatever you do, don’t let fear stop you.
AND WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE QUITTING, REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED. YOU ARE MUCH STRONGER THAN YOU THINK.
LET’S DO BIG THINGS IN 2018!
